Strand eyes success with Attram after gaffe

Great Olympics head coach Tom Strand says the club will beat the drop now that peace is gradually returning to the outfit.

The Swedish manager was appointed last week to replace Godwin Attram, but the latter rejected the decision, leading to chaos ahead of their away game against Liberty Professionals.

The two coaches held different training sessions with different set of players, with Attram later opting not to join the team for the game.

However, a meeting was held on Wednesday by the club's board of directors and the differences appear to have been settled.

“Everything is under control now and we hope to turn our season around,” Strand told Herosportsgh.com.

“I believe Attram and the other coaches will help wholeheartedly since everyone have let go the troubles that came up. We need to start winning games to push up on the log. We need points badly and unity is the only thing to guide us,” he added.

Attram will now work as the assistant to Strand as well as form part of the playing body.

Olympics currently sit 13th on the log with 11 points. They will travel to El Wak Sports Stadium to play city rivals Tema Youth before hosting embattled Asante Kotoko.
