Former Sunderland captain Lee Cattermole has moved to Eredivisie side VVV Venlo on a one-year-deal. Rangers are still hopeful of competing a deal with Liverpool to sign winger Ryan Kent, reports the <a href="https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-transfer-news/ryan-kent-transfer-compromise-rangers-18974677?_ga=2.96093662.310507398.1566459430-114877499.1518449519">Daily Record</a>. Kent starred on loan for the Scottish giants last season but Reds' boss Jurgen Klopp has previously ruled out another loan move for the 22-year-old. The transfer window remains opens in Scotland but Rangers hope that by adding an obligation to buy clause&nbsp;they can push through another loan switch.

Monaco are close to completing a loan move for Southampton midfielder Marion Lemina, according to reports in France. <a href="https://rmcsport.bfmtv.com/football/">RMC&nbsp;</a>claim the two clubs are in advanced talks over a move which would see Lemina join the Ligue 1 side with an obligation to buy. The report claims the former Juventus man, who was linked to Manchester United in the summer, has already agreed personal terms with Leonardo Jardim's side.

Edin Dzeko revealed he was offered&nbsp;Roma's captaincy by team-mate Alessandro Florenzi in an effort to convince him to stay amid interest from&nbsp;Inter. The forward recently inked a new deal with the Serie A side, and says his club went to great lengths to keep him there.&nbsp; "[Lorenzo] Pellegrini and Florenzi were on at me every day: 'You'll stay here – you're not going anywhere'.
