Newly promoted outfit Kariobangi Sharks are on the verge of signing Posta Rangers striker Cavin Odongo.

Odongo was impressive for the Mail men in 2016 netting four goals to see the club finish at position four and he has now attracted Kariobangi Sharks, who are building up in readiness for their debut in Kenyan Premier League action.

Rangers had wanted to keep him (Odongo) for another season but they have since been convinced to let the youngster follow his heart.

This information has been confirmed to Goal by Chairman John Tonui, who has praised the player terming him an asset to whichever team he joins. “Cavin Odongo will eventually be signed by Kariobangi Sharks. We have talked and it is now just a matter of paperwork for him to join them.”

Sharks have so far signed former Vihiga United midfielder Michael Misigo Isabwa. Former Tusker FC defender Osborne Monday is also reportedly headed to the KPL newbies.
