“The India Under-23 team will go to US as part of our preparations. We may play a few games there. We also have to thank SAI (Sports Authority of India) who liked our proposal for a tour to the US,” informed Kushal Das, the AIFF General Secretary to Goal.
India are placed alongside Qatar, Syria and Turkmenistan with the group winner automatically making the cut for the final competition next year in China. Five best second placed teams from among 10 groups will also qualify for the main competition.
