The teenage duo will face a tough test as they have been handed the start against one of the World Cup favorites

Weston McKennie and Tyler Adams will pair together in the midfield as a youthful U.S. national team closes out its summer friendlies against France in Lyon.

The teenage duo will begin in a midfield trio with Wil Trapp of the Columbus Crew captaining the side and sitting deepest of the three.

Dave Sarachan will play three center backs in the contest, with Matt Miazga, Cameron Carter-Vickers getting the start alongside Tim Parker.

Parker receives his first ever senior start, as does Levante right-back Shaq Moore, who comes in for DeAndre Yedlin. Everton’s Antonee Robinson, who started against Bolivia, returns to the XI for a much sterner test against France as he lines up on the left.

Up top, Bobby Wood, who scored the lone USMNT goal against the Republic of Ireland, will pair with Julian Green. It is Green’s first start for the national team since October 2016.

Teenagers Tim Weah and Josh Sargent start the game on the bench.

The USMNT will play in front of Crew goalkeeper Zack Steffen who makes his second start for the senior team, coming in after Bill Hamid went the distance against Ireland.

Meanwhile, France have gone with a full-strength side against the USMNT as Hugo Lloris, Samuel Umtiti, Paul Pogba, N’Golo Kante, Kylian Mbappe and Antoine Griezmann all start for Les Blues.
