Bongani Zungu now linked with Sheffield Wednesday

According to reports in Portugal, the Owls are the latest club to show interest in the Bafana Bafana midfielder

Bongani Zungu has only spent one season at Portuguese outfit Vitoria Guimaraes, but according to reports coming out of Portugal, the 24-year-old could potentially move on to greener pastures.

Zungu has been one of the Conquerors standout players and it is believed that his impressive displays during the 2016/2017 campaign has attracted interest from several high-profile clubs, including Portuguese giants Benfica and Porto.

The latest reports suggest that a move to England may now be on the cards.

According to Portuguese publication Abola, the Bafana Bafana midfielder is on the radar of English Championship club Sheffield Wednesday

However it is understood that if The Owls are to capture the signature of one of South Africa’s most prized assets, they would need to fork out in the region of R50 million for the player's services, which along with work permit issues could prove a stumbling block.
