Azam’s Yakoub face up to six weeks out

Azam FC central defender Yakoub Mohamed is set to be out for between a month and six weeks with the leg injury he sustained in last month’s Azam Sport Federation Cup clash with KMC.

Speaking via Azam FC Official Website, Dr. Mwanandi Mwankemwa has claimed that Yakoub had a scan on his leg last week and the results suggested that he will be out of action for a month or six weeks.

“Last week we had a scan to assess his injury, we confirmed that he will be out of action at least for a month or six weeks before making a return,” said Dr Mwankemwa.

The Ghanaian missed the last three matches and he will be sidelined in the next few games before making a return in the last part of the season.

Dr. Mwankemwa also had an update about striker Mbaraka Yusuph who injured in the last Ligi Kuu match with Mwadui on Thursday.

“Mbaraka had sustained a hamstring injury, we will assess him soon in order to make him available for selection,” added Dr. Mwankemwa.
