Vinicius Junior delivers big update on Real Madrid future after previously been linked with Premier League giants Man Utd & Liverpool

The 23-year-old forward – who netted the winning goal for Los Blancos in the 2022 Champions League final – moved to Santiago Bernabeu in 2018. He has taken in over 230 appearances since then, finding the target on 62 occasions.

Vinicius has become one of the most exciting talents in world football, but has experienced the odd test during his time in the Spanish capital. That has sparked inevitable transfer talk, with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool being credited with interest.

The South American is only tied to a contract through to the summer of 2024, but fresh terms have been speculated on for some time and Vinicius has stated that he wants to spend the rest of his career with the Spanish giants. He has told Real Madrid TV: “It is always an honour the affection I receive from these fans and the one I have for them. I am very happy to play here and I want to continue playing here for the rest of my life.”

Vinicius – who was included on the 30-man longlist for the 2023 Ballon d’Or - is expected to sign a new deal with Real at some stage, with that agreement set to bring any exit talk to a close as he is freed to focus on unlocking even more potential in his game.
