    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Greenwood’s fine form has been recognised with the Ligue 1 Player of the Month award for December, with the 23-year-old forward becoming a talismanic presence in Roberto De Zerbi’s plans – having landed Player of the Year honours during a loan spell at La Liga outfit Getafe last season.

  • WHAT BALERDI SAID

Balerdi believes there is more to come from Greenwood in 2024-25, with the Argentine defender picking out his club colleague’s best attribute. Balerdi said: “Greenwood is a very nice boy. On the pitch, he changes a little. He is very difficult to beat. He has an incredible shot, I am happy for him. With Getafe, he had perhaps only scored 10 goals. We need him, we would like him to finish as top scorer.”
