U.S. international Gio Reyna was handed his first start across all competitions by new Borussia Dortmund manager Niko Kovac on Saturday as the Black and Yellow defeated Union Berlin 6-0 in Bundesliga action.
They snapped a two-game losing streak in the domestic league, earning just their second Bundesliga victory since the start of 2025 with a crucial three points courtesy of a four-goal showing from striker Serhou Guirassy, an own-goal from Berlin's Diego Leite and a late dagger from forward Maximilian Beier.
Reyna logged 70 minutes, starting in an attacking midfield role for just his second Bundesliga start of the season, and his 12th league appearance since the start of the campaign.
