Tammy Abraham set to join Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Besiktas as ex-Chelsea striker seeks Roma escape following AC Milan loan

Abraham is in advanced talks to join the Turkish side, according to a report from Fanatik. The English striker, who returned to Roma after a season-long loan at AC Milan, is no longer in the Serie A club's plans. Besiktas have talked to Roma about a possible loan move with an option to buy because they want to strengthen their attacking line under coach Solskjaer.

Abraham is open to leaving Roma after having limited opportunities while on loan at Milan, where he played 1757 minutes across 45 matches, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists. Besiktas aim to offload veteran forward Ciro Immobile and bring in Abraham to lead the attack. The striker reportedly wants guarantees of being the starting centre forward, a demand the Turkish club are not fully willing to accept.

Abraham has scored 37 goals in all competitions for Roma since he joined in 2021. He previously netted 30 goals in 82 appearances for Chelsea and won the Champions League in 2021.

Negotiations are expected to continue over the coming weeks as Besiktas try to reach an agreement with Roma. Abraham will need to agree to Besiktas's sporting terms before a move can materialise. If a trade goes through, he would join former Manchester United manager Solskjaer and become the Turkish Super Lig team's main attacking option.
