GettyTHE BIGGER PICTURE
According to Sky Sports, amid the contract impasse, Paris Saint-Germain have held informal discussions with Vinicius’ camp. The Ligue 1 champions are keeping a close eye on developments and could make a move if Real Madrid fail to meet the winger’s expectations. Although Vinicius remains under contract at the Santiago Bernabeu until June 2027, his representatives have made it clear that staying is not a guarantee unless Madrid recognise his importance - especially as the season heads into its decisive phase. Meanwhile, the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Sports remains in contact with the player's entourage, reinforcing the idea that a move to the Middle East is a genuine possibility.
AFPWHAT NEXT FOR REAL MADRID?
Despite the allure of PSG and Saudi Arabia, Madrid remain in a strong position to keep Vinicius. Club president Florentino Perez has always considered him a cornerstone of the team, and an improved contract offer could still be in the works which could persuade the Brazilian to continue his journey at the Spanish capital. Amid the uncertainty surrounding his future, Vinicius remains focused on helping Madrid in their upcoming Champions League showdown against Manchester City. The high-stakes round of 16 play-off encounter will be an opportunity for the Brazilian to remind everyone of his importance to the club, as he aims to lead Los Blancos to another European triumph.
