Member of Manchester United's Class of '92 cautioned for HEADBUTTING security guard at his own birthday party

Butt accepted the criminal sanction for actual bodily harm for the attack on a staff member at the do at Soho Farmhouse in Oxfordshire in January, report The Sun. The former midfielder also agreed to make a donation to charity.

The incident took place on January 24 this year when Butt was refused drinks after a seven-hour bash. He was then spotted relieving himself against a wall by the bouncer, who confronted him before Butt lashed out. The guard was treated in hospital for his injuries.

There were around 30 guests at the party, including David and Victoria Beckham, as well as Gary Neville, Paul Scholes and their partners.

Butt had been CEO of Salford City until he quit the job last year. The club is owned by the Class of '92 - with Neville and his brother Phil, Ryan Giggs, Scholes, Beckham and Butt listed as the club's directors - but there are reports they may be looking to sell in the coming months.
