'Worst Man Utd team of all time' - Ruben Amorim's 'comedy club' slammed after struggling Southampton score from corner for first time this season

Southampton were the better team at Old Trafford in the opening 45 minutes and they deservedly took the lead when they scored from a corner after the ball got deflected into the net after striking Manuel Ugarte's back. It was the first time that the Saints have scored from a corner in this campaign and questions are being asked of United's defence as it is the 10th goal the Red Devils have let in from a similar situation.

Manchester United fans took a dig at the faltering Red Devils on social media as they expressed their disappointment after another poor display from Amorim's troops.

Meanwhile, @UtdFaithfuls wrote: "Solid performances away against Arsenal and top-of-the-league Liverpool, then followed by the usual shit performance at home against bottom-of-the-league Southampton..We're such a comedy club."

Another United fan, @OgbeniBiodun questioned: "How is this the same united that played so well against Assnal and Liverpool? It really is like a completely different team. It really seems like half of them can't be bothered unless it's against "big" teams."

Manchester United showed significant improvement in the second half but some unimpressive finishing let them down until Amad Diallo turned up the heat. The Ivorian emerged as the Messiah for the Red Devils as he scored a late hat-trick in the match to seal the three points.

Although Diallo saved Amorim's blushes against bottom-placed Southampton, questions will be asked about their overall performance. They will be back in action against Brighton on Sunday in their next Premier League encounter.
