Man Utd fans RAGE at Sir Jim Ratcliffe & INEOS for 'dragging out' Erik ten Hag sacking after 'lifeless' display vs Aston Villa confirms Red Devils' worst-ever start to a Premier League season

Erik ten Hag's Manchester United future had reportedly been hinging on the Red Devils getting a positive result at Villa Park against Unai Emery's high-flying team. However, United were as toothless as they have been throughout the season as they failed to get all three points for the fifth straight game in all competitions. Fans are now criticizing INEOS and Sir Jim Ratcliffe for delaying the decision to sack Ten Hag.

As per OptaJoe, Manchester United have now reached their lowest points tally in the Premier League ever after seven matchdays as Ten Hag's side now sit on just eight points. The Red Devils last slumped to that embarrassing low in the old First Division back in 1989-90. United are currently sat in 14th place in the Premier League standings and the Dutch coach may be on borrowed time after another damaging setback.

INEOS and the Manchester United board now have to make the crucial decision, and with the October international break now set to come into effect, they will have enough time to make a decision on the Dutchman and even draw up plans for who will take up the mantle of head coach in his stead.
