‘Best team in the land’ - Man City show off incredible trophy haul for 2023 in impressive display at the Etihad before Sheffield United clash

  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The year 2023 was the most memorable one in Manchester City's history as they became only the second club in England after rivals Manchester United to win the treble. On top of that, they also bagged the European Super Cup and the Club World Cup.

    As the reigning Premier League took the field for one last time this year against Sheffield United on Saturday, they flaunted all five trophies on the pitch at Etihad right before kick-off.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    The Cityzens had a difficult start to their title-defending campaign having endured three defeats and four draws already in the 2023/24 season. A win against Sheffield United, though, would help them end the year third in the league, two points behind leaders Liverpool.
