Kyle Walker on enemy territory? Everton keen to rival Fenerbahce and bring Man City defender to Merseyside after failed AC Milan move

Walker left City temporarily in the January transfer window and joined AC Milan on loan. The England international initially hoped to secure a permanent transfer to Italy this summer; however, the move never materialised. Walker has now attracted interest from another Premier League Everton, as manager David Moyes is reportedly actively looking for a new right-back, according to journalist Mike McGrath.

Last week, reports emerged in the Turkish media that Fenerbahce are keen on signing the veteran full-back as Jose Mourinho is aiming to bolster his squad ahead of the new season. Fenerbahce have even formally submitted an offer to City for the 35-year-old defender.

Walker’s future at Etihad Stadium has looked increasingly uncertain following a season where his playing time drastically declined. His loan spell at Milan during the second half of the 2024-25 campaign provided a brief change of scenery, but it failed to reignite his form.

Walker has not travelled to the US for the Club World Cup after being left out of the squad alongside Jack Grealish. Pep Guardiola's side will play their first match of the tournament on Wednesday against Wydad AC.
