Jude Bellingham 'has balls'! Carlo Ancelotti praises Real Madrid midfielder for spat with Vinicius Jr in nervy win at Celta Vigo

Bellingham was shown furiously reacting during Real's 2-1 win over Celta, after Vinicius opted against crossing to him in the area and had a shot instead. The England star gestured angrily towards the winger and kicked the ground in frustration.

Now, Real boss Ancelotti has lauded Bellingham for his personality as he continues to search for a way to make his side click. Los Blancos have Kylian Mbappe, Bellingham and Vinicius on the same team but they have struggled for fluency at times, drawing three of their 10 games. They were only narrow victors over Celta thanks to goals from Mbappe and Vinicius.

Ancelotti told reporters when asked about Bellingham's clash with Vinicius: "I haven't seen that play you're talking about, but if it has happened, it means that he has balls, character, and it seems good to me.

"Honestly, I didn't realise the play (had happened). I'll watch it. But if he has reacted... let's be calm, after the game they were talking, laughing. They have no problems.

"The merit we have is that we always compete well, until the end. We could have played better, yes, but the group was committed and knew how to suffer, because Celta also competed well, with intensity.

"We took three important points thanks to a fantastic pass from [Luka] Modric [to Vincius]. It's something normal for him, because of his enormous quality. Luka always contributes, whether he is a starter or coming off the bench. He has such great quality, that it always adds up."

Real face Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League in midweek. There is then the small matter of the first El Clasico of the season at home to Barcelona, as the two top sides in La Liga go head-to-head.
