Jose Mourinho dons 'AW' jacket in tribute to former rival Arsene Wenger as Fenerbahce boss braves brutal Istanbul weather

The ever-entertaining Mourinho was spotted wearing a winter jacket synonymous with former Arsenal boss Wenger during a recent training session in Istanbul. The image, posted on his official Instagram account, paid homage to the famous rivalry the two shared in the Premier League when Mourinho was in charge of Chelsea.

Mourinho made a direct reference to his old foe in the caption, which read: "In “cold Istanbul” AW coat is very important."

Mourinho and Wenger's rivalry is legendary. Their contrasting styles and personalities clashed on numerous occasions during their managerial careers in England - the pair even had to be separated on the touchline during one game between the Gunners and Blues - but Mourinho could not help but aim a playful dig at his old adversary years on from the incident.

Mourinho has always enjoyed playing up to the media, but his focus will be on helping Fenerbahce gain ground in the Turkish Super Lig title race. His side currently sit six points behind leaders Galatasaray.
