    THE BIGGER PICTURE

It has already been confirmed that Richard Arnold is to step down from his role as chief executive, with the Manchester Evening News now claiming that Murtough is “definitely going”. The Red Devils will scour the market for a new figurehead in their football department.

    WHAT NEXT?

Murtough will form part of the clear-out, bringing his 10-year association with United to a close.
