Fans were treated to one of the more bizarre moments in Premier League history on Saturday when Vardy blew the referee's whistle and stopped the game between Leicester and Southampton. The striker took matters into his own hands after Webb went down after being accidentally barged over by Jordan Ayew. As Webb lay on the turf with a hand over his face, Vardy bent down and gave the whistle a quick blow.

WHAT VARDY SAID
Vardy revealed what he was thinking afterwards. He told BBC Sport: "I saw Southampton breaking down the left and with the ref down I thought I'll blow his whistle to stop the game."
THE BIGGER PICTURE
Webb ended up having to be replaced by fourth official Sam Barrott. Meanwhile, Leicester went on to win 2-0 in a battle between the two relegated clubs. Vardy was on target for the Foxes after scoring his 199th goal for the club. The club legend has already announced he will be leaving at the end of the season but will hope to hit goal number 200 before he says an emotional goodbye.
