'The curse is over!' - Fans convinced Harry Kane will FINALLY end trophy drought after Bayern's impressive win at Stuttgart as they flood his Instagram page with Bundesliga title messages

The English striker's Instagram comments were dominated by fans celebrating Bayern's 3-1 victory over Stuttgart that helped create an even larger gap between them and their closest challenger Bayer Leverkusen. Although Xabi Alonso's champions have a game in hand over the leaders, many are resigned to Bayern returning to the pinnacle of German football. Should they earn the 23 points from their remaining 10 Bundesliga games, Bayern and Harry Kane will guarantee the title and a first trophy for the striker.

Fans were keen to shower Kane with praise and celebrate the likely end to a long wait for a trophy. Kane posted on Instagram saying: "What a moment! What a win! Big away performance from the boys!!" And the fans duly responded.

Meanwhile, @alylikiller credited the Bayern boss. "Nobody knew that Kane would win his first title with Vincent Kompany," they said.

When Kane made the switch to Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, many expected him to win numerous pieces of silverware in his first season. However, an unprecedented season by Leverkusen tore apart Bayern's title and cup defence and left the Englishman empty handed. Despite enjoying a fantastic individual season, Kane was left frustrated and determined to improve this season. After spending 13 years as a professional on the books at Spurs and failing to lift any silverware with England, Kane will be dreaming of that first title this season with the Bavarian giants.

Kane could win more than one trophy this season as Bayern take on Leverkusen yet again in the quest to be the dominant force in Germany. They face off in Munich on Wednesday in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 before the return leg the following Tuesday. A game with Bochum is sandwiched in-between, where Bayern can make yet more strides in the direction of a curse-breaking Bundesliga title.
