  • Reyna signs on loan for Forest from Dortmund
  • Made debut at the weekend vs Bournemouth
  • Set to not feature in FA Cup, while Turner likely to start
  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Despite making his Premier League debut for Forest in a 1-1 draw against Bournemouth at the weekend, the USMNT star is set to be off the teamsheet for Wednesday's clash in the English tournament. However, he won't be the only new signing to be sidelined, either, as goalkeeper Matz Sels will also be watching from afar.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Reyna and Sels were both not registered in time for Forest to add them to their FA Cup roster. As a result, the USMNT midfielder and their new shotstopper will not be able to participate in the contest. There, is however, a positive spin for the American, as teammate Turner is likely to get the start in goal due to Sels' exclusion.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Bristol City and Nottingham Forest tied the first leg of the match 0-0, so this second leg will be a winner-takes-all contest.

WHAT NEXT FOR REYNA, TURNER AND FOREST?

Wednesday's Cup clash kicks off at 2:45 pm ET, and then, just three days later Forest take on Newcastle United in a crucial Premier League match. Reyna's new team are 16th in the table, just two points clear of relegation, while the Magpies head into the match after a dramatic 4-4 draw with Luton Town. If Reyna and Co. can get a result against the ninth-place side in the Premier League, it would be a massive boost.
