The 2025 edition of the FIFA Arab Cup is all set to start on December 1 and run until December 18 and will be hosted by the reigning Asian champions Qatar. This will be the second time in history that Qatar will play host to the competition after organising it in 2021 where Algeria emerged victorious.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
As per the Qatar Olympic Committee's 2025 Sports Event Calendar, the nation will host a total of 84 sporting events including the FIFA U17 World Cup which will be held at the 2022 World Cup venues between November 5 to November 27 alongside the Arab Cup.

Iraq are the most successful team in the history of the competition, having won the title four times. They are followed by Saudi Arabia, who have lifted the trophy twice and Tunisia, Morocco, Egypt and Algeria have won it once each. Algeria are the defending champions, who beat Tunisia in the final of the 2021 edition.
