Cristiano Ronaldo fires defiant message as Sadio Mane's goal sees Al-Nassr return to winning ways in the Saudi Pro League

After dropping two crucial points against defending champions Al-Hilal last week, Al-Nassr got back to winning ways as they edged out Al-Riyadh 1-0 courtesy of a first-half strike from Mane. In between, the Saudi giants had faced reigning Asian champions Al-Ain in the midweek in the AFC Champions League, where they picked up a thumping 5-1 with Ronaldo finding his name on the scoresheet.

After their win on Friday night, the 39-year-old took to Instagram to share a few photographs from the game and posted them with a fiery caption that read, "Victory fuels our rise."

It was a crucial win for Stefano Pioli's side who are currently six points adrift of league leaders Al-Hilal and five points behind second-placed Al-Ittihad. While Al-Nassr are yet to lose a league game in the 2024-25 campaign, they have been held to a draw on four occasions which has affected their league position. Ronaldo, who has won just one trophy since his much-hyped move to the Middle East in January 2023, will be desperate to bag the league title in the current campaign.

The Saudi giants will be back in action after the international break on November 22 as they take on Al-Qadisiyah at home in a league fixture.
