Casemiro's stint at United has failed to live up to the billing that it had promised after he joined the 20-time Premier League champions from Real Madrid in the summer of 2022. This season, the Brazilian has only played eight times under Ruben Amorim and has been on the bench for United's last five Premier League clashes.
Despite the winter transfer window having closed in England on February 3, the window will continue in Brazil until February 28. The Red Devils are said to be on board with the deal to send Casemiro to Brazil. However, Flamengo are still thinking about whether they want to sign the five-time Champions League winner as his wages could prove to be 'risky' to their finances, despite United being willing to take on part of his salary during the loan.

There is still a very good chance that Casemiro could end up staying at United for the rest of the season. However, his playing time will likely continue to be limited.
