Benni Mccarthy, Kenya National Team

'Benni & his friends brought nothing to the 2010 World Cup! If we sell players to European leagues, PSL will be finished like SuperSport United so McCarthy should focus on Kenya' - Fans

Kenya coach Benni McCarthy recently claimed South African players lack ambition and don't like playing in Europe.

He argues most of them are in their comfort zone as opposed to Kenyans.

While a section of football lovers in the country tend to agree with him, others feel otherwise.

Have a look at what they said as sampled GOAL.

PSL is among top leagues in Africa, why go to Europe?

Last time I checked, PSL was ranked the top league in Africa, and we have two teams in the top 10 of the club ranking. So where does he want them to go, Europe? - Chris Phukubje

Best of all-time Benni knows what he is saying

Benni McCarthy is the best player of all time. He knows exactly what he's talking about. The problem with us South Africans is that we don't want to listen. We just like to always lake knowledge even when someone try to assist since they know better in that platform - Jabulani Sishange

If English players play whole life in England and called legends, why not Mzansi?

Who are the best? So, English players can play their whole lives in England and be regarded as legends, but South African players need to go overseas? It's not about playing the best but about - Mlando Landon Sefuthi

Nigeria struggling because of failing to trust locals?

I completely disagree! The PSL is the best league in Africa, and we should focus on growing it instead of propping up other people's leagues where they will treat us in some type of way. I saw how Nigeria is faltering with their overseas players, whilst Bafana Bafana with their local players are looking unbeatable -  Sihle Bhambatha Zondi

Benni was just lucky to have a great agent

Benni acts as if he knew how to take control of his career at the time he moved from Seven Stars. In actual fact, he was just lucky to have had a great agent who made things happen for him. You were just as clueless as the current players. As someone who has connections in Europe, you should be opening a platform for the guys to get opportunities in Europe - Thando Tshaka

If we sell best players PSL might end up like SuperSport

If we keep on giving away our best players, then we will end up like Supersport United, which always gives their best players to Sundowns. European leagues will always shine, whilst African leagues will be Mickey Mouse leagues - Thulani Mshengu

Benni & Co. did nothing in 2010 World Cup

We don't need to sell to have great players. He and his friends brought nothing to the 2010 World Cup. The current local squad is doing well, but Nigeria are struggling because those players believe they are better than any player in Nigeria - Kenosi Ngcwaba
