    The contract extension showdown between Davies and Bayern has been going on for quite some time now after the Canada international attracted interest from Real Madrid earlier this year. The defender's current deal expires in June 2025 and the club have made it clear that if he does not agree to sign a new deal, he will be sold off in the upcoming summer transfer window.

    However, new Bayern boss Vincent Kompany is known to be an admirer of the Canadian and wants to keep him at the club beyond 2025. According to tZ, sporting director Max Eberl has started negotiating a fresh deal with the full-back once again. They are reportedly offering a salary in the region of €13 million (£11m/$14m) and €4 million (£3m/$4) in bonuses.

    Los Blancos are yet to table a formal offer for the 23-year-old but the German side have reportedly set their asking price at €50 million (£43m/$54m) if they are forced to sell the player.
