WHAT HAPPENED?
Barcelona's financial constraints are not unknown, however, despite their troubles, they have managed to make some top-quality signings in the past few seasons and in the ongoing summer transfer window they managed to rope in Spain's Euro 2024 hero Olmo from RB Leipzig.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
Olmo has already started training with the Catalan giants and is expected to feature in the club's upcoming Joan Gamper Trophy final against AS Monaco on Monday, however, it is still not clear if the club will be able to register him with the team before their La Liga opener on Saturday against Valencia.

Per Cadena SER, the Blaugrana recently struck a deal worth €40m with catering and logistics firm Aramark, however, they still need to raise €60m to cover the non-payments for the sale of Barca Vision. Unless the club manages to raise the remaining amount, they won't be able to sell any more players for La Liga 2024/25 season.

Along with Olmo, several other star players have still not been registered with the Spanish league namely Vitor Roque, Inigo Martinez, Clement Lenglet and Eric Garcia.
