After a 5-1 win at Anfield over Tottenham on Sunday, Slot was on cloud nine as he celebrated his first trophy in England with the fans and his players. The 46-year-old expressed his happiness at the end of the game as he claimed that he is proud to be a part of the Merseyside club's history.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "Looking back I have enjoyed the whole day. You could see looking in their eyes how much it meant to them today. It was impossible to us to not get that point or win today. What else is there to say? It is unbelievable. From this moment now I am part of the history of this great football club."
