Another Arsenal injury! Ethan Nwaneri out for a 'few weeks' with muscle problem as Gunners fitness problems mount up

The 17-year-old scored Arsenal's opener against Brighton at the weekend but was forced off at half time with a muscle problem. Now, journalist Sam Dean has relayed that manager Arteta believes the attacking midfielder will be out for a "few weeks" with the issue.

Teenager Nwaneri has earned his Arsenal game time after some impressive performances but he has, arguably, been fast-tracked due to the club's injury issues this season. Bukayo Saka, Ben White, Takehiro Tomiyasu, and Raheem Sterling are all out injured and that is not helping the Gunners' hunt for trophies this term.

Nwaneri - who turns 18 in March - has made 18 appearances in all competitions for Arsenal this season, scoring five goals along the way. He is seen as the latest academy gem at the club.

While Arsenal manager the youngster's recovery, Arteta's side are in Carabao Cup semi-final action at home to Newcastle United on Tuesday.
