'Show Southgate this!' - Alessia Russo finishes stunning England team move featuring magical Beth Mead assist to put Lionesses 1-0 up against Ireland

Striker Russo finished off a lovely move to open the scoring in the fifth minute. Georgia Stanway played a one-two with Keira Walsh before driving and passing to Beth Mead. The Arsenal forward then picked out her club teammate Russo, who neatly rounded Ireland's 'keeper to score.

The goal received plenty of attention on social media, with one fan even urging England men's manager Gareth Southgate to take note.

England's win over France last time out leaves their hopes of reaching Euro 2025 in their hands; should they beat Ireland and Sweden on Tuesday, they will qualify regardless of results elsewhere.
