AC Milan eyeing Serie A top scorer Mateo Retegui and Juventus star Dusan Vlahovic while new coach Max Allegri demands midfielder Simon Sohm

Milan are keen on signing a top striker with names such as Vlahovic and Retegui being reported by Sky in Italy. The report has also stated that Allegri has also asked the management to sign Parma midfielder Sohm.

With Tammy Abraham returning back to parent club Roma and Luka Jovic's contract expiring, Milan are left with only one fit striker in Mexican Santiago Gimenez. Allegri, who has been to various Parma games last season, is a big fan of Sohm and would like him to be a replacement for Tijjani Reijnders following the Dutchman's move to Manchester City.

Allegri guided Milan to their 18th Scudetto in the 2010-11 season. His Milan squad included modern legends such Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thiago Silva and Robinho. Milan's next Scudetto came in the 2021-22 season, 11 years later.

With Reijnders having joined Manchester City and Theo Hernandez on the fringes, Milan look to rebuild their squad and Allegri's experienced hand can be very useful. If Milan can sign the likes of Vlahovic or Retegui, it would add some serious firepower to the squad and would help Milan to improve on their eighth placed finish.
