11,000-mile trip for a haircut?! Popular Premier League barber was flown from London to China and back every month to cut Chelsea legend's hair after leaving Stamford Bridge

Senyo is a famous go-to for numerous Premier League players and has been so for the last two decades. He gained prominence via the recommendations of Ryan Bertrand and Scott Sinclair, having cut hair from when they were in Chelsea's academy. The barber now has his own shop, Homme XY, located on London's iconic Portobello Road. Senyo charges a luxury appointment fee of £65, and offers the VIP treatment with a home visit for £250.

Senyo has worked with a number of Chelsea players over the years, and the popular hair stylist has now revealed that Chelsea legend Ramires was one of his most loyal customers over the years. He also admits that following Ramires' move to Chinese side Jiangsu, the Brazilian wanted him to continue cutting his hair and also paid for the luxury barber to do the 11,000-mile round-trip from London to China every month.

Speaking to The Sun, Senyo said: "I used to fly to China quite often when Rami was there. That was all the time. At least once a month, sometimes twice a month. It was a three or four-day trip. People didn't understand it. But you know when you're quite particular about the person who cuts your hair, sometimes it is impossible to just get anyone to do it. It is the relationship you build with these boys, the trust that you build, once they recommend you that means that you're official.

"I met Rami as his nanny used to bring in his son to get his haircut, I didn't know it was Rami's son at the time and one day the nanny asked if I do home visits. I said, 'yeah, no problem'. I turned up to the house and Rami opened the door. I just couldn't believe it.

"From then I did Willian and Oscar, I was quite familiar with all the Brazilian players because they used to hang around with each other."

The hair stylist and barber's client list continues to increase over the years, and Senyo has revealed that he continues to hope to give haircuts to the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and David Beckham.

He added: "David is a style icon. The icon of football. He is definitely the top of the food chain when it comes to who I'd like to cut. The first thing I see when I see anyone is their haircut. I always think what I can do to their hair. Every first trim is a bit unknown but it's not about the person, it's just about the trim. Once you do the trim and you know their head, how the hair falls, it is simple."
