After a two-week break in Malaysia Super League (MSL) action due to the FA Cup, the league resumes its final stretch this mid-week.

Leaders Johor Darul Ta'zim (JDT) are 13 points clear at the top, and they will play away to second-placed Perak on Tuesday. A win will seal them their fifth consecutive league title, with four rounds to spare.

The second place, which this season may come with a spot in the 2019 AFC Champions League qualification, can also be obtained on this matchday by Kedah and Pahang, currently in third and fourth place respectively.

PKNS FC are in sixth, and cannot move up the ladder on this matchday, due to their four-point gap behind Terengganu in fifth.

Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Melaka United, in seventh, eighth and ninth respectively on 20 points, all have the chance of moving up to sixth, or dropping down to tenth place.

PKNP FC in tenth have a mathematical chance of leapfrogging over the three clubs above to the seventh spot, but it will require them to beat recent FA Cup champions Pahang in Kuantan, as well as for all the three sides to lose in their matches.

Negeri Sembilan and Kelantan, in eleventh and twelfth places respectively, will still languish in the relegation zone regardless of their results, as they are six and seven points adrift off safety.
