Gordinho features in Aalborg's defeat to Hoffenheim

Kaizer Chiefs defender Lorenzo Gordinho played the entire 90 minutes for Danish side Aalborg BK on Saturday.

However, the 22-year-old centre-back was unable to help Aalborg win on the day, as they conceded two first half goals to eventually lose 2-0 to German outfit Hoffenheim in a friendly match.

Nadiem Amiri struck 10 minutes into the game, before Steven Zuber put the game to bed with a 39th minute strike for Hoffenheim.

Gordinho is currently undergoing a week-long trial at Aalborg where he's hoping to impress their technical team and earn a move to Europe before the January transfer window closes later this month.

Despite clearing Hoffenheim's attempt off the line in the third minute, the Amakhosi centre-back had a shaky start to the game, but he adapted well to the pace of the game, especially in the second half, and he should be pleased with his overall performance.

He is expected to continue training with Aalborg this week, before returning to South Africa on the 17th of January 2017.

Aalborg are expected to make a decision on whether or not they will sign him in the coming weeks.

Chiefs have already confirmed that they won't stand in the player's way should Aalborg table an offer for his services.
