Stellenbosch FC have officially strengthened their midfield options with the capture of Nigerian talent Lateef Adeyanju Kazeem on a free transfer. The former Plateau United man arrives at the Winelands club with high expectations as they look to maintain their competitive edge in the domestic top flight.

Former Buccaneers star Mpho Makola has delivered a blunt assessment of the club's performance following their disappointing Wafa Wafa defeat. The Soweto giants were unable to defend the silverware as the Pretoria-based outfit proved too strong in a high-stakes encounter in Durban.

The Portuguese tactician has lifted the lid on the remarkable physical and emotional hurdles the Bafana Bafana star overcame to inspire his side to Wafa Wafa glory. The midfield talisman was the driving force behind the Brazilians' 2-0 victory over Orlando Pirates, despite entering the match carrying a significant injury and dealing with immense family tragedy.

The Buccaneers head coach has praised the progress of the 23-year-old, backing him to reach greater heights in his career. Since joining the Soweto giants, the centre-back has made a strong impression, establishing himself as an important figure in their defensive setup.
