Yobe Desert Stars Sporting Director, Abdurahman Ago has confirmed the appointment of Taiye Yusuf as the new Technical Adviser in place of the sacked Ngozi Elechi.
Elechi was relieved of his duties as head coach after the team’s unimpressive campaign in the league this season and Ago who announced the decision of the management of the club noted that Yusuf was given the nod because of his experience with the team having served as assistant coach to the previous two coaches.
He admonished the new Technical Adviser to make his experience count while also calling on the players to cooperate with the new gaffer and some of the recent changes made by the club.
“He has acquired a lot of experience and I am sure he would pass it to the players,” Ago told the media.
“I call on the players to give him their maximum support for us to get the result we want. The club has made those decisions in its best interest and we expect absolute cooperation from all in the club from the players to the remaining part of the technical crew.”
Yobe Stars are in the last position in the NPFL Group B with 10 points from six games ahead of their trip to Gombe United this weekend.
