Uchenna Kanu edges Oparanozie and Kgatlana in Living Room Cup's plank get-ups challenge

Nigeria's Uchenna Kanu has beaten Africa's top stars again, including compatriot Desire Oparanozie and South Africa's Thembi Kgatlana and Janine Van Wyk, in this week's plank get-ups challenge of the Living Room Cup.

Despite the cheering news of the easing of the lockdown in most nations across the globe, top African athletes continue to take part in various contests while at home.

The Sevilla striker had earlier outshone her African rivals, including Asisat Oshoala and Onome Ebi, and Germany forward Leroy Sane - initiator of the week-three contest - as she managed 119 reps in 45 seconds in the 'side steps challenge'.

Rory Mcilroy launched the week-five challenge, where you start in a push-up position with your hands under the shoulders and the legs stretched out directly behind.

The world number one golfer managed 21 reps in 45 seconds - a feat Oparanozie had beaten as she hit 34 reps, while Van Wyk and Kgatlana got 31 and 26, respectively

However, Kanu put up another impressive showing to surpass her compatriot Oparanozie and Banyana Banyana duo again as she hit whopping 41 reps.

The 22-year-old striker, who scored 10 goals to help Nigeria clinch the 2019 Wafu Women's Cup in Cote d'Ivoire last May, took to social media to display her result.
