Kaizer Chiefs made it two wins on the trot after holding on for a 2-1 league win over SuperSport United at the Lucas Moripe Stadium on Sunday evening.
Chiefs, 4-0 winners over Chippa United last weekend, had the brilliance of Keagan Dolly to thank for the win after he created both goals for Bernard Parker, allowing Amakhosi to beat the Pretoria side in the league away from home for the first time since 2015.
It also ended SuperSport’s five-match unbeaten run over Chiefs and their seven-game unbeaten run in the league this season.
Following kick-off, apart from a half volley from Khama Billiat which flashed wide in the 11th minute, there was a shortage of goalmouth action in the opening stages of the game as the two sides battled it out in midfield for supremacy.
With both teams working hard to win the ball back quickly there were few chances, and when the next one did arrive, in the 20th minute, it was via a 50-yard pass from Dolly which split the home defence and put Parker in on goal.

The former Bafana striker's first-time half-volley was, however, tipped around the post by Ronwen Williams.
From the resultant short corner, Billiat fired over the goal before SuperSport mounted a few threats of their own as Sipho Mbule had a 22nd minute shot deflected just wide of goal and then Iqraam Rayners fired in a 20-yard effort into the arms of Chiefs keeper Daniel Akpeyi.

Overall the game remained tight and the players seemed set to head into the half-time interval with the match stalemated at 0-0, only for a flurry of two goals in added time.
The first was scored by Chiefs, Parker beating Williams at his near-post with a first time shot after a clever through-ball from Dolly.
But Amakhosi's lead lasted only a minute as Matsatsantsa hit back with an own goal from Njabulo Ngcobo, who was under pressure from Thamsanqa Gabuza following a free-kick from Mbule, and headed into his own net.
Chiefs were, however, to put that setback behind them soon after the restart as Parker scored again, once more after being played in by the irrepressible Dolly.
This time the veteran beat Williams with a cool angled shot in at the far post in the 49th minute.
SuperSport came back again looking for an equaliser as Mbule went close with a 25-yard shot before Ghampani Lungu's effort was bravely blocked by Thabani Dube and then Teboho Mokoena let rip with a long-range effort which sailed wide on the hour mark.
Parker was denied the chance for a hat-trick when he limped off with an hamstring injury with 20 minutes to go.
After that, SuperSport upped their efforts in looking for a goal and could have levelled the game in the 75th minute had Luke Fleurs been able to keep his header under the bar.
More opportunities followed for the Tshwane side as Jesse Donn sent both a header and a shot over the crossbar.
Having held on under pressure, Chiefs nearly added a third goal when Dolly swept forward on a counter-attack and teed up the ball for Phathutshedzo Nange, but his low shot was dragged marginally wide.
Then with seconds left, there was a dramatic late escape for Amakhosi when Mbule’s cross floated tantalizingly across the goalmouth with no team-mate able to apply the finishing touch.
