Manchester United will be hoping to extend their resurgent Premier League form when they take on Wolves at Old Trafford on Monday.

The Red Devils have won four and lost none of their last six fixtures in the league, having suffered five defeats in their final seven under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

In contrast, Wolves have only won once in their last six in the league, although only Manchester City and Liverpool have beaten them during that run.

Betting odds & tips

Manchester United is favourite to beat Wolves at 11/20 (1.55) with bet365. At 21/4 (6.25) to win, Wolves are considered the underdogs.

Cristiano Ronaldo is 11/4 (3.75) to be first goalscorer after scoring five times in his last five matches, while Raul Jimenez is his side's 15/2 (8.50) despite going five games without a goal.

Having won four ands lost none of the last five encounters between the sides - conceding just a single goal - Manchester United look like strong value at 11/8 (2.38) to win to nil against a Wolves side that have only scored twice in eight fixtures.

Man United 1-0 Crystal Palace (05/12/21)

Wolves 0-0 Burnley (01/12/21)

After a frustrating 1-1 draw at Newcastle, Ralf Rangnick's men will have been relieved to get straight back to winning ways in their 3-1 victory over Burnley last week.

With just four points separating them from an Arsenal team in fourth that have played two extra matches, the Red Devils have really reignited their top-four challenge over the festive period.

They will probably have to remain patient when they face a Wolves team that have proved a tough nut to crack this season, with their only defeats over the last seven matches by a narrow 1-0 margin against Liverpool and Manchester City.

However, Bruno Lage's men seem incapable of providing a breakthrough at the other end of the pitch and have not been in action for two weeks after seeing their last two games postponed due to Covid-19.

Lacking in match practice and missing some important players, the visitors will be up against it to contain a confident United team at Old Trafford.
