UEFA Super Cup: All goals from Liverpool's 2018-19 Champions League winning campaign

A mouthwatering all-England UEFA Super Cup clash lies in store at Istanbul with Liverpool and Chelsea set to go head-to-head for the big prize.

It is a chance to add the icing on the cake for Jurgen Klopp and his men after they beat another English opponent in the form of Tottenham Hotspur in the final of the 2018-19 UEFA Champions League at Madrid in May.

It was the sixth European title for the Reds and it came after a topsy-turvy campaign in the group-stage phase where they just barely escaped through the skin of their teeth to advance to the knock-out stages.

Despite tasting three defeats in a ‘group of death’ also including PSG and Napoli, Liverpool turned up when it mattered most to set up a Round of 16 clash with Bayern Munich.

A brace from Sadio Mane in Munich sealed Liverpool’s path to the quarter-final where they decimated Portuguese heavyweights Porto by 6-1 aggregate with Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Mane all getting on the scoresheet.

The Reds looked dead and buried at 0-3 down after the first-leg of their semi-final against Barcelona but a rousing comeback at Anfield where Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum both bagged a brace completed a fairytale turnaround ultimately.

Origi was on target in the final against Tottenham again with Mohamed Salah opening the scoring in a historic night at Madrid. As Liverpool get ready to take their worthy place in the UEFA Super Cup clash, it is time to look back at the top goals of their 2018-19 Champions League winning campaign.
