EXTRA TIME: Watch Bafana Bafana superfan Botha Msila in Cairo

Two weeks ago South African supporter Botha Msila set out to hitchhike from Cape Town to Cairo, Egypt to watch the Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).

Msila was determined to follow Bafana Bafana in Cairo, and after travelling from South Africa to Kenya his plans seemed to be in tatters at the border.

He faced unexpected Visa problems for entering Ethiopia, so after taking advice on his Twitter account, Msila decided to turn back to Nairobi.

This is where he was eventually helped by Be Sure Travel (who paid for his flight) and DIRCO, according to television presenter Robert Marawa on Twitter.

Msila had written to numerous South African government officials hoping that somebody would help him so that he reached Egypt safely.

The only problem is that he didn't make it all the way to Egypt on the road, but plans to complete such a feat in future with the correct documentation.

You can watch Msila beaming with excitement from Cairo in his video below. He also retweeted a video of Bafana, being ready for the Afcon. Now, he is finally ready to support his team in the Afcon.

South Africa takes on Ivory Coast in their first group game on Monday.
