Ange N'Guessan inspires Tenerife's victory at Rayo Vallecano

Ange N'Guessan was on target as Tenerife defeated Rayo Vallecano 2-0 at Ciudad Deportiva Rayo Vallecano Campo 4 in Madrid on Sunday.

After a goalless first half, Cote d'Ivoire's N'Guessan scored on the hour mark to break the deadlock in the encounter.

Five minutes later, Maria Jose found the space and set up Martin-Prieto, who ended of firing home to guarantee Pier Loggi's side victory.

N'Guessan, who made her 29th Liga Iberdrola appearance this term for Loggi's ladies, has now scored four goals this season.

The 28-year-old Ivorian was in action until the 72nd minute before she was replaced by Cameroon international Raissa Feudjio in the encounter.

The win means Tenerife has now moved to fourth on the Liga Iberdrola log with 51 points from 29 games.

They will welcome title contenders Barcelona in their last fixture of the season at Estadio La Palmera on Saturday.
