Mastantuono's discreet message came just after Fabrizio Romano reported PSG’s bid for the River Plate star on May 17. The streamer respected the player’s request to keep the conversation private, but relayed the sentiment to a Real Madrid staffer: "I’ve spoken with Mastantuono and he told me he’s hoping you’ll call him."

  • DID YOU KNOW?

On June 12, just before the official announcement of Mastantuono joining Real Madrid, the Argentine messaged DjMariio again - this time with three white heart emojis. The next day, Real Madrid confirmed the deal. DjMariio reflected on the experience as a sign of how football has changed: "Players today connect just as much with content creators as with pro stars. I was lucky to play a small role in something special for Madrid."
