The Liga MX outfit, as winners of the 2021 CONCACAF Champions League, are among those preparing for the FIFA Club World Cup. That event is heading to the United States and will get underway on June 14.
As things stand, Ronaldo is set to sit out Club World Cup duty as Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr have not qualified. CR7 is, however, approaching the end of his record-breaking contract in the Middle East.
He has admitted that the time may have come for a new challenge to be taken on, at 40 years of age. Ronaldo has been linked with teams from Europe and South America that are heading to the Club World Cup.

Transfer expert Nicolo Schira is now reporting that “Monterrey have shown interest in signing Cristiano Ronaldo for Fifa Club World Cup”. It is claimed that said deal has “the support of his former team-mate and friend Sergio Ramos, who has promoted and sponsored CR7 to the Mexican club”.
