It was initially believed that the young midfielder could remain out of action for at least six to eight months. He was not named in Barcelona's travelling squad for the United States pre-season tour, however, he returned to training on the pitch at Barcelona's training centre earlier this month while the squad was away.

Now, ahead of the Catalan giants' season opener, the club issued a positive update on the player's condition as their statement read on X, "Pedri has received the medical green light and will be available for #ValenciaBarça."
