The Barcelona midfielder, who has battled several injury issues in recent years, was wiped out in the opening minutes by Toni Kroos and looked emotional as he left the pitch with a muscle problem, to be replaced by Dani Olmo.

You have to feel for Pedri, whose rapid rise has been impacted by injury after injury. The 21-year-old hasn't played more than 26 La Liga games in each of the past three seasons after his breakthrough 2020/21 season.
