Man Utd employees returning Sellotape and counting screws as Sir Jim Ratcliffe's drastic cost-cutting measures leave morale 'on the floor' among Old Trafford staff

The Telegraphclaims that 'angry, disillusioned and fearful' United employees have been tasked with individually counting cartons of screws to ensure they are not over-ordering, while Sellotape has been returned because it was not considered a 'necessity'.

This comes hot on the heels of United reportedly making huge swathes of employees redundant, with a climate of fear festering at the club. On the flip side, higher-ups at the Red Devils are keeping their big salaries while lowly staff are losing their livelihoods. United are struggling both on and off the pitch.

The report adds that some United employees feel they are paying the price for long-term failures under the Glazers, along with 'botched decisions' by INEOS as well.

Head coach Ruben Amorim will hope to lift the mood at United when his side travel to in-form Everton in the Premier League this weekend.
