  • WHAT HAPPENED?

    The self-titled Special One is currently starring in an advert to promote Topps' new UEFA Euro 2024 Chrome trading card set. In the advert, the Fenerbahce boss can be seen at a parody laboratory urging the makers of the cards to turn up the "chromy" level to the maximum. Although the creators need to wear special protection, Mourinho wryly admitted he doesn't as he's "used to shiny things."

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

    Mourinho was the global brand ambassador for Topps during Euro 2024 and has been recruited again for the new collection which features top stars such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Rodri, Harry Kane, and Lamine Yamal. Elsewhere, Mourinho is currently trying to add to his extensive trophy collection in Turkey with Fenerbahce. The 61-year-old joined the club in the summer after three years at Roma where he won the Europa Conference League.

    Mourinho's Fenerbahce are currently second in the table in Turkey, five points behind leaders Galatasaray, and down in 21st place in the Europa League standings.
